While the Oakland Raiders are waiting for their $1.8 Billion, 65,000-seat stadium in Las Vegas that is set to be finished in 2020, the Coliseum Authority will meet later this week to see if there is a possibility of the Raiders staying one more year in Oakland, according to ESPN.

Authority executive director Scott McKibben will brief the board in a closed session to see where the Raiders and the Coliseum stand. This all follows a lawsuit which was filed by the city of Oakland against the team as well as the NFL earlier last month.

The lawsuit did force Raiders owner Mark Davis to pull the $7.5 million lease offer for 2019, but he did state that all options remain open for where the Raiders will play their 2019 season.

The team is looking into a few other places to play at the moment, but the NFL did state that a decision will be needed sometime around the Super Bowl in February.

The Raiders are coming off a rough first season with head coach John Gruden in his return, going 4-12 and falling to last place in the AFC West, but expect a slew of new faces to be present next season for the Raiders, as they have three first-round draft picks all before the 17th pick.

The coming years will have a plethora of new changes to the storied NFL franchise.
