Peter King of NBC Sports released his first — and only — mock draft Monday, leading up to the first round, which kicks off Thursday night. For the Raiders, the mock was filled with a mix of both the expected, as well as a surprise.

The early prediction was nothing shocking, with King slotting Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the team at No. 4 overall. Williams is viewed as one of the top three, if not the top, player in this class, and he will have a considerable list of teams vying for his services. If Williams was available at the fourth selection, it would be a mini coup for the Silver and Black.

The mock picked up steam in the 20s, where the Raiders hold the 24th and 27th overall picks. According to King's projection, Oakland will strike a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for the 21st pick in order to draft Alabama running back Josh Jacobs.

The Raiders would have to move only three spots ahead to make it happen, and probably wouldn’t have to denude its mid-round picks to do so. I could see Seattle at 21 or Baltimore at 22 do this kind of deal, because Schneider and rookie Ravens GM Eric DeCosta love dealing. I met with Jacobs last week, by the way. Delightful fellow. Hungry to be a great NFL player, and he’s a versatile back too. Jon Gruden could turn him into a 1,700-total-yard back as a rookie.

Jacobs led the Crimson Tide with 11 rushing touchdowns and 640 rushing yards on 120 carries in 2018.
