Oakland Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr is battling a shoulder injury, but he is not expected to miss any games, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Oakland has a bye week next week, so Carr will be able to get extra treatment and rest.

The Raiders played in London in Week 6, and got blown out by the Seattle Seahawks, losing by a final score of 27-3. Carr struggled, as he finished the game 23-of-31 for 142 yards and zero touchdowns.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the Raiders this season. Jon Gruden left the Monday Night Football booth to return to the Raiders, and many were expecting Oakland to be an explosive offense with Gruden at the helm. That hasn't been the case, however. Oakland is now 1-5 after their loss to Seattle and has struggled to manufacture points, particularly in the red zone.

Derek Carr is having trouble grasping Gruden's offense. The 27-year-old has thrown seven touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has a quarterback rating of 43.5. Carr and the Raiders will take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8. If Carr is unable to go, Oakland will be forced to start AJ McCarron. The team acquired McCarron from the Buffalo Bills.
