Skip Bayless has been known for his bold takes and opinions on different topics in sports. He has been known to favor the Dallas Cowboys at all times, but in his latest bold opinion, Bayless took on a situation that the Oakland Raiders may have brewing at some point in the future.

In a clip on his show, Undisputed, Bayless stated that he doesn't think Jon Gruden is sold on Derek Carr being his long-term starting quarterback.

“I know Jon Gruden. And I'm pretty sure that he's not sold on Derek Carr. The tipping point, to me, was that post. The ‘I'm watching you, I'm looking at you' gesture. Jon Gruden will not like that. But the reason he (Carr) posted was that it was reported that Jon Gruden was going to have Kyler Murray in and Dwayne Haskins in for interview sessions, getting to know you sessions. And it just sends more messages that Jon Gruden is still open for business.”

Bayless may not be right, but it would make sense for Gruden to have some questions. Carr is coming off of a bad season in 2018. He did not have much control of his offense and his arm didn't look great either.

Carr ended the year completing 68.9 percent of his pass attempts for 4,049 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The numbers may not look awful on the surface, but the Raiders' offense struggled mightily.

There were multiple moments throughout the season when there appeared to be tension between Gruden and Carr.

Gruden has been very vocal about his support for Carr, but that is to be expected. He has been doing extensive work on quarterbacks in the 2019 NFL Draft class, which could be a sign that he's considering his options. Either way, Carr's future with the Raiders could be in doubt.
