The Oakland Raiders are a team trying to right the ship after a few disappointing seasons following their long-awaited return to the NFL playoffs. The team has revamped the squad and brought in Jon Gruden to lead the way.

This offseason the Raiders were as aggressive as they've ever been in both free agency and trades. One of the most notable additions was the signing of wide receiver Tyrell Williams, who hopes to have a big season in 2019 with superstar Antonio Brown taking the bulk of the attention from opposing defenses, via Scott Bair of NBC Sports.

“It’s vertical,” Williams said. “We like to go down the field and I feel like that’s one of my strong points, taking it and stretching the field. I think that will be big for me being able to get a lot of [focus] go to ‘AB,’ so I feel like I’ll get a lot of one-on-one coverage down the field. It’ll be big for me.”

There's no question the most significant addition for the Raiders this offseason was the acquisition of Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although Brown is the star attraction, Williams might be able to make a name for himself as part of a dynamic duo in the receiving corps.

Last season, Williams had another solid year with the Los Angeles Chargers. The 31-year-old caught 41 passes for 653 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers could go up considerably if he strikes up chemistry with quarterback Derek Carr and helps take the pressure off Brown downfield.
