Following a disappointing 2017 campaign, the Oakland Raiders have made it quite clear that the team plans on bouncing back in a major way next season. The front office has been extremely active in the free agent market adding pieces to the puzzle in areas of need.

This has seen them bring aboard former Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl wide receiver Jordy Nelson to help fortify their passing game. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Raiders don't appear to be finished in that regard with the team reportedly holding a visit with veteran wide receiver Eric Decker on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old is coming off a productive lone season with the Tennessee Titans where he recorded 54 catches on 83 targets 563 receiving yards and a touchdown while playing in all 16 games. Although it was a step down in production, Decker was able to show he is completely past the shoulder injury that limited him to just three games in the 2016 campaign with the New York Jets.

The addition of Decker would provide another proven asset to the passing game that has shown he can be a highly productive offensive factor as he has three seasons with at least 80 catches, 1,000 receiving yards, and 10 touchdown receptions. He has also shown the ability to excel playing in the slot, which is the role he may wind up taking with the Raiders with both Nelson and Amari Cooper being lined up on the outside.

Although there isn't any certainty at this point that Decker will join the fray, it's clear that Oakland is quickly becoming an attractive destination for free agents this offseason. This could quickly lead to the team rebounding from their dismal 2017 NFL season by taking a huge step forward under head Jon Gruden in his first year back on the sidelines that could see the franchise once again become a playoff contender and possibly more than that.
