Colin Kaepernick worked out with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday and impressed, but it's still unknown if the team will sign him or not. Hall of Famer Warren Moon however believes new head coach Josh McDaniels is the right man to utilize Kap in the perfect way as he did previously with Cam Newton and Tim Tebow.

Via TMZ Sports:

“[McDaniels] knows how to work with that type of quarterback,” Moon said. “Maybe there's a package of plays that he can put in that help the Raiders maybe in game time situations.”

Moon also believes Kaepernick could give the Raiders' QB room some much-needed experience behind Derek Carr:

“If you look at the backups they have right now, they don't have a whole lot of experience as far as game time,” Moon said. “So, I think it makes a lot of sense to bring him in and take a look and see what he's still got left.”

The Raiders still have several quarterbacks behind Carr including Jarrett Stidham and Nick Mullens. While Kap hasn't played in the league since 2016, he proved in the workout he can still sling a football with authority. It would be great to see him in the NFL again and maybe Moon is right, McDaniels could be the perfect coach to bring the best out of Colin Kaepernick.
