The Las Vegas Raiders have been linked to basically every free-agent quarterback. The latest one is Jameis Winston. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Jon Gruden is interested in signing Winston this offseason.

As of this moment, the Raiders have Derek Carr as their starting quarterback, entering his seventh season. However, after the 2019 season, GM Mike Mayock left the door open for Las Vegas to make a change this offseason.

While Mayock is the GM, Gruden seems to have the ultimate say in the roster moves that the Raiders make. Given that, Winston could be someone that is a blip on the radar for Las Vegas.

Ever since his days at Florida State, Gruden has always been a fan of Winston at quarterback. Now, with the team moving to a new stadium in 2020, Gruden could get a quarterback he is fond of in his offense.

This past season, Winston played his first (and seemingly last) season under Bruce Arians with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his lone season with Arians, the former No. 1 pick threw for a career-high 5,109 yards and 33 touchdowns.

On the downside, Winston also tossed a career-high 30 interceptions in 2019. As a matter of fact, Winston became the first quarterback in history to throw 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season.

There's no doubt that Gruden is making an aggressive push to land a quarterback that fits his offense better than Carr. Then again, it remains to be seen if Winston ends up being the guy that Gruden wants to man his offense long-term.
