The Oakland Raiders have not been shy about shoring up some depth to their receiving corps in the 2019 NFL season. It appears they may have another on their radar ahead of the Oct. 29 trade deadline.

There have been rumblings about New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson being made available for trade. According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, the Raiders are among the teams interested in acquiring his services.

The Raiders are among the teams interested in trading for Jets receiver Robby Anderson, sources say. Price needs to be right. Jets won’t just give RA away.

The prospect of Oakland striking a deal for Anderson would be quite a splash ahead of the deadline. Of course, they may have to pay a heavy price tag if they hope to bring in a wideout of his caliber.

It is no secret that the Jets have endured their fair share of struggles in the 2019 NFL season. Anderson has easily been one of the primary casualties of quarterback Sam Darnold barely making his debut a couple of weeks ago. The bulk of his production this year came when he and Darnold connected for 125 yards and a touchdown on five receptions in the win against the Dallas Cowboys.

New York has a number of notable voids to fill on the roster and parting ways with some of their more high-profile pieces may be the only way to fill them in the near future. Oakland will need to make them an offer they simply cannot refuse following an abysmal start to the 2019 campaign.
