The flea-flicker play seems to be alive and well on Sunday with the Oakland Raiders doing their own rendition of it. After the Miami Dolphins connected on one, Derek Carr was able to complete a flea-flicker to JJ Nelson for a touchdown.

When you are down 21-0, you tend to open up the playbook a bit more to attempt a comeback. Therefore, Jon Gruden likely was all for calling a flea-flicker to provide a much-needed spark in their offense.

As good as the Minnesota Vikings have been today, they likely didn't envision the Raiders running a trick play. Due to being on their heels with the play call, Nelson was able to find his way behind the secondary for a walk-in touchdown.

The Raiders are going to need more of those plays to bring the game within striking distance though.
