On the Los Angeles Chargers' first drive on Thursday night, Philip Rivers got lucky twice: Two Oakland Raiders near-interceptions were barely avoided. However, on their third attempt at reeling in an interception, they did just that, courtesy of Erik Harris.

The Raiders' safety hauled in a Rivers pass intended for wide receiver Keenan Allen. Watch below, as he flips the field with his interception, giving his offense the ball at the 31-yard line.

Rivers targetted Allen but whiffed it by about a yonder or so. Harris took advantage of that, by taking the freebie for himself and avoiding nearly the entire Chargers offense. His Raiders interception converted into a field goal for the offense.

The Raiders' defense has struggled to force takeaways in 2019. Luckily, that's not the case on Thursday. Harris and Co. will need to continue to force Philip Rivers to make those risky decisions he tends to make to stay alive in the AFC West hunt.
