Nothing works best to whip up fans and players into a frenzy than leaked game footage. Ubisoft particularly worked hard to keep its next project under wraps but some footage may have made its way online. Between leaked footage and nefarious hackers, there seem to be few things that devs can do to fight back. The only recent news fans received regarding the upcoming Rainbow Six spinoff was its apparent abandonment of the “Quarantine” title. Now, Ubisoft has new problems to worry about as footage of Rainbow Six Parasite may have crept its way to the hands of players.

FIRST LOOK AT THE PARASITES

The leaked video in question was posted to Reddit by user ThyroidMelanin. Unfortunately, the link on the subreddit post has since been terminated. All signs point towards Ubisoft working hard to quell the leaked footage in its tracks. The video only runs for three seconds but the sparse footage has players everywhere abuzz with excitement.

Key takeaways from the leaked video include the clear inclusion of Tachanka and Lion, both hailing from Siege. The UI itself is very much reminiscent of the online team-shooter title from Ubisoft. Once again, leaks may do well to incite excitement and discussion but their veracity always remains questionable. However, the leaked video's quick disappearance indicates that the footage in question was never meant to see the light of day. Additionally, the very same Reddit user spread alleged screenshots from the upcoming spinoff. Hopefully, we'll receive official Rainbow Six Parasite updates from Ubisoft soon.

Ubisoft has yet to comment on the supposed leaked footage as of posting.
