With a new quarterback at the helm in Matthew Stafford and a super bowl win in their sights, the new-look Los Angeles Rams will have a lot going for them during the 2021 NFL season. After making some solid picks in the draft, the Rams will have a few choices to make regarding personnel changes.

One of which will be deciding what players best match the type of offensive and defensive schemes they'll be running next season. So without further interruption let's take an in-depth look at the two hidden gems that will shine big for the Rams and make a splash under the bright lights of Hollywood in 2021.

Two hidden gems on the Rams roster

Rams, Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford

Robert Rochell

A former wide receiver that's transitioned nicely to cornerback, Robert Rochell was a breakout star at Central Arkansas with his mind blowing athleticism and crafty ball skills on defense. With a 4.39 speed and a 43 inch vertical, Rochell is the perfect complement to Jalen Ramsey in the Rams secondary.

His high-minded defensive IQ allows him to thrive in both man and zone coverages and adds depth and flexibility to this powerful Rams defense. Between his wide range of skills on defense and his previous experience at wide out, Rochell brings a brand of positionless football to Los Angeles that coach Sean McVay will absolutely love having on the roster.

Adding Robert Rochell to this explosive Rams defense is a move that definitely needs to happen if they want to make some noise in the playoffs. Plus putting him and Ramsey in the same secondary could make this team the league leaders in interceptions.

Jacob Harris

He's an absolute anomaly as a 6-foot-5 tight end with 4.39 speed and rare athleticism for his position. With these attributes, Jacob Harris could add a new element to this exciting Rams offense that already features a few of the league's premier deep threats.

Not to mention his strong blocking ability that will make him an excellent addition to their special teams unit. Harris brings a wide range of skillsets that adds nicely to an already stacked offense featuring Matthew Stafford, Cam Akers, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Tyler Higbee.

On top of being a strong addition to this upstart Rams offense, Harris will also be a reliable second string tight end behind Tyler Higbee and provide him with great relief in between reps. With the Rams already having a great outlook for this season, the addition of Harris is an absolute steal for this super bowl contender.

With the Rams having high expectations this coming season, these are both quality players that should be added to their roster. Their past accolades alone qualify them to make this team and both players would provide a strong contribution to this electrifying team that could take the league by storm and run away with a super bowl.

Adding both of these players to their roster not only gives them much needed depth, but it also brings them a couple of multi-skilled players that can transform their game on both sides of the ball and make them a force to be reckoned with all season long.

Having Jacob Harris and Robert Rochell on this Rams squad would be entertaining to watch and a nightmare for opposing offenses and defenses on a weekly basis. If the Rams hope to make another super bowl run, then these are two players they need to keep on their roster past training camp.
