The Los Angeles Rams have been looking for a star to take some of the pressure off of Aaron Donald and they might have found it in Dante Fowler.

Fowler showed some flashes last season of just what he could do as an outside linebacker for the Rams and he has gotten off to a flying start this year.

On Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Fowler sacked Newton twice, because no one was blocking him as they focused on Donald. Fowler still has a lot of talent though, and even if Donald wasn't drawing double teams, Donald thinks Fowler is someone who could get “double-digits sacks” every season.

“He’s a guy that can definitely get double-digit sacks every season,” Donald told Rams Wire on Tuesday. “That’s just the type of pass rusher he is. Him just learning and working and continuing to learn the game and his skills and how he’s supposed to play, I feel like the sky’s the limit for Dante. He’s always been a great athlete and can be a great football player. And definitely having the first game dominating the way he did, I feel like that’s going to give him more confidence right now. Just keep finding ways to get better, don’t be satisfied, keep working and I feel like the sky’s the limit for Dante and he’s getting better each week.”

If Fowler can continue to put pressure on the quarterback that is going to open up things for the rest of the defense, and Donald because they aren't going to be able to continue to double and triple-team him.
