The Los Angeles Rams recently made it to the big stage and played against the New England Patriots in this past season's Super Bowl. Unfortunately for the Rams, they came up a little short of taking home the Lombardi Trophy, but that's not stopping Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald from staying positive.

Donald is arguably the best defensive player the league has seen in quite some time, and his recent trip to the Super Bowl could be the first of many. Donald kept it short in regards to the Super Bowl loss this past Sunday in Atlanta.

“You got a taste of it — it’s motivation, if anything it’s motivation knowing that you fell short.”

Donald signed a multi-year deal prior to the 2018 season, so the Rams don't have to worry about him going anywhere. The Rams have the roster to win it all, but unfortunately, they ran into Tom Brady and the Patriots who have not slowed down in tormenting opposing teams each season.

The Rams have a very bright future with a lot of young talent as well as some outstanding veteran presences. The lack of experience in the playoffs proved to be the difference maker for Los Angeles despite holding the Patriots to 13 points. This was the lowest point total of the Brady-Belichick era in past Super Bowl history, so clearly, the defense has the ability to be an elite unit.

The Rams offense could get nothing going after having a very successful 2018 season as they were held to three points. Jared Goff and the Rams offense will hope to rebound after ending the season on a rough note, but the league knows their full potential.
