The Los Angeles Rams had a big win in the first round of the playoffs, as they beat the Seattle Seahawks 30-20 and are moving on to play the winner of the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints game.

En route to victory, the Rams held their breath when defensive end Aaron Donald held his ribs after tackling Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. As Donald tackled Wilson, Donald immediately held his mid-section and was taken back to the locker room.

However, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network had some good news as he updated the NFL world about Donald's injury status. Here is what he had to say about Donald's x-rays and availability for next week:

Both of the Rams quarterbacks were not at 100% while playing yesterday. Starting quarterback John Wolford was taken into an ambulance after receiving a big hit from the Seahawks safety Jamal Adams, while Jared Goff was playing on a sore thumb after getting thumb surgery on December 28th.

Donald being out of the lineup for the Rams would have been a big blow for the defense and team morale. Donald, who had 20.5 sacks two seasons ago and a solid 12.5 and 13.5 sacks after that has led this defense to be one of the toughest to play against.

The Rams had one of the best defenses in the league all season, and it all starts with the pressure put on by the defensive line. Without Donald there to lead the charge, the Rams would see a large difference in the amount of pressure the opposing QB would be under.

Thankfully, Donald will be ready to go as the Rams are looking to make a run in the 2020-2021 playoffs.
