Since the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots earlier in the month, there has been a lot of discussion about whether or not offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth would come back for another season.

Well, it looks like the Rams have gotten their answer, and it's a good one.

Early Tuesday morning, Whitworth took to Twitter and appeared to announce that he will be returning for another season:

While that is hardly an official announcement by Whitworth, it does seem to be an indication that he will be stepping back on the gridiron in 2019.

The 37-year-old spent the last two seasons in Los Angeles, making the Pro Bowl and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2017.

Whitworth, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round (55th pick overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.

He immediately stepped into a starting role with the Bengals during his rookie campaign, playing both left guard and left tackle. By his fourth season, Whitworth was exclusively a left tackle.

The odd thing about Whitworth is that he has seemed to get better with age, as he did not make his first Pro Bowl appearance until his seventh year in the league in 2012.

He ended up spending the first 11 seasons of his NFL tenure with Cincinnati, making three trips to Honolulu and earning one First-Team All-Pro selection during his time there.

Whitworth has also been incredibly durable. Over the last five seasons, he has missed just one game.
