And another one bites the dust: Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth is the latest celebrity to delete his Twitter account.

An intrepid fan noticed that, just two days after the Rams lost the Super Bowl to the Patriots, Whitworth's account on the popular social media platform was gone.

However, all is not terrible, as the last thing he published was a rather nice message, all things considered.

“Hurts! Not ending we wanted. Couldn’t love my team more! Feel Blessed and Proud to have had this opportunity! Thankful to our fans! We don’t blame things we can’t control and look internally for how we could be better. On to better days! @RamsNFL aren’t going anywhere!” he said.

That said, Andrew Whitworth may not be totally gone from Twitter, as we all know that Twitter accounts can be restored, even if they've been deleted for a while.

And there's also been some speculation that Whitworth deleted his account after he made a slick comment about the New Orleans Saints, and subsequently earned the ire and wrath of the Who Dat Nation. Whitworth probably should have known that was a bad idea.

Whatever the reason, it seems that Andrew Whitworth is just the latest athlete to take a Twitter detox. There's no telling if, or when, he'll be back — but hopefully he will be back soon, or at least he'll come back to tell us all how the Los Angeles Rams have been licking their wounds after a loss to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
