People who closely watched the Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams understand how important Andrew Whitworth has been to their teams. The most arduous fans may even expect the tackle to make the Hall Of Fame due to his consistency and quality in the offensive line.

However, the Rams left tackle doubts his chances. Cameron DaSilva of RamsWire reported how the 37-year-old views his chances of making the prestigious group after his visit to Pardon My Take:

“No, I don’t think so. I don’t know, I’m not popular enough,” Whitworth said.

The article elaborated that he could boost people's awareness of him by posting more frequently on social media. Whitworth humored the suggestion and played it up.

“Be like the Instagram posts where I just keep talking about how good I am constantly,” Whitworth joked. “Like ‘I dominated this week’ with the pictures. I love those guys. No matter if their team lost by 40 or not, like, ‘I had a great day.’”

The former LSU Tiger may have a point with what he's saying, but his credentials are looking good at the moment. He played 199 games since being drafted by Cincinnati in 2006 and only missed three games in his thirteen-year career.

His good health also helped him garner seven fumble recoveries, seven solo tackles, four Pro Bowl selections, and two First-Team All-Pro nods. Rams fans can definitely expect more of the same out of their left tackle for a couple more years.

Sure, Whitworth may not be worthy of the prestigious yellow jacket just yet. However, a few more years of solid performances and Pro Bowl selections should change the public's perception of him.
