Stephen Curry might find this interesting: The unveiling of the new Los Angeles Rams logo has drawn quite a bit of flak from fans, but All-Pro left tackle Andrew Whitworth is not concerned about the team's branding.

In fact, Whitworth had an interesting comparison for the Rams logo backlash, likening it to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry's first signature shoe release (via Cameron DaSilva of USA TODAY):

“The latest I can really think of is maybe when Steph Curry had his shoe come out,” he said. “I remember there was a lot of junk about that – about how people didn’t like it or whatever. That’s kind of died and gone away now. But the reality is I think it’s great. I think it gives an energy, a new vibe, a new stadium and a new environment and new logo and I think it’ll be fun. It’ll be about how we produce on the football field that’ll make people fall in love with it.”

Of course, the fans ultimately could care what the Rams wear so long as they can bounce back from a 2019 in which they missed the playoffs just one year after reaching the Super Bowl. The veteran Whitworth will undoubtedly play a large role in their offensive success.

The Rams re-signed Whitworth to a three-year deal that can max out at $37.5 million with incentives, ensuring blind-side protection for quarterback Jared Goff.

Whitworth is one of the best left tackles in football, but he will have to remain effective at that spot for the Rams if Goff hopes to recover from a major letdown in 2019.
