The Los Angeles Rams are in the midst of a stellar 2018 NFL season. However, it appears cornerback Aqib Talib feels they could still use a boost entering the final stretch of the year.

The Rams are 10-1 coming off the bye week. According to Vincent Bonsignore of The Athletic, Talib feels this is the perfect time to kick things up a notch.

“I don’t think you can maintain. You know what I’m saying? We gotta crank it up a notch,” Talib explained.

“We need a little bit extra,” he added.

There is certainly plenty of truth to Talib's comments. There are many instances in which great regular-season teams falter in the playoffs Los Angeles was enjoying similar success at this point last year. However, their momentum did not carry over into the postseason after they were knocked out in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons. It seems the veteran is hoping the Rams can take their play to a whole new level.

Talib certainly knows a thing or two about cranking things up a notch. He managed to do so with the Denver Broncos As a former Super Bowl champ; he understands the importance of trying to improve every week. Fortunately, he will have the opportunity to inject some new energy to this team. He had been sidelined with an ankle injury since Week 3. However, he is now expected to make his return in Week 13 versus the Detroit Lions. A matchup with a shorthanded Lions' offense is an excellent opportunity for the Rams to show a little bit extra.
