Newest Los Angeles Rams addition Bobby Wagner hardly needs any introduction. He's a Super Bowl-winning inside linebacker coming into the team that just won it all.

But he's not leveraging his vaunted reputation to take any shortcuts. Wagner is already participating in the early stages of offseason workouts, which is more often for the younger, less experiences members of NFL rosters.

Bobby Wagner spoke out to the media about setting the tone for his arrival in Los Angeles. In order to become one of the veteran leaders of the team, he wants to first learn the ropes.

“I'm pretty intentional,” Wagner told reporters Thursday, via the Los Angeles Daily News. “I'm definitely coming in here and being myself. I also understand that they have a way of going about things. In order to lead, you've got to learn how they do things before you jump in.”

“That's been my thing, just trying to learn how everything operates. Then I'll start to use some of my experience to kind of pass to guys. Once you build that trust off the field, on the field becomes easy.”

That's the mark of a true leader. The Rams are about to begin their quest for a repeat Super Bowl run. Having Bobby Wagner on board is certainly going to help.
