The Los Angeles Rams just participated in the Super Bowl, with such an accomplish definitely serving as motivation for next season. While the upstart team should be more than proud of themselves for winning a NFC title this past season, Los Angeles will also be extra motivated going forward after scoring a mere three points in their Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots.

Leading the way, Rams head coach Sean McVay has become the talk of the town as of late — to say the least. As a result, it appears as though the 33-year-old head coach will remain in Los Angeles for years to come.

According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, McVay and the Rams could come to terms on a contract extension sooner rather than later.

“The Rams sign coach Sean McVay to a contract extension,” writes Thiry. The Rams signed McVay to a five-year deal when they made him the youngest head coach in modern NFL history in 2017. Three seasons remain on that deal, but after clinching back-to-back division titles and taking the Rams to the Super Bowl in Year 2, you can bet the Rams will want to make sure they keep McVay around — and keep him well paid — into the foreseeable future.”

Although McVay has only served as an NFL head coach for two seasons, he has already become one of the top NFL minds out there. In just two seasons, he has taken L.A. to the postseason twice while making a Super Bowl appearance way ahead of schedule.
