Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp recently suffered a knee injury during their Wild Card matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. However, it turned out to be of minor severity as he was only diagnosed with a knee contusion, per NFL Network‘s Mike Garafolo.

After a solid performance in the game, Kupp limped off the field in the fourth quarter after tweaking his knee. Despite not finishing the game, Kupp still led the Rams receiving corps with his tallies of 78 yards on four receptions.

The abrupt return of QB1 Jared Goff despite his nagging thumb injury allowed the Rams to keep their lead even after John Wolford went down with a rib injury. The defensive rotation of the Rams also buckled down and limited the Seahawks from getting any momentum to mount a comeback in the game.

With valiant efforts on both ends of the field, Los Angeles ultimately managed to fend off the Seahawks' scoring attack in the fourth quarter en route to a 30-20 upset victory.

Fellow wideout Robert Woods also notched 48 yards on four catches along with a touchdown. Rookie running back Cam Akers had a monster performance of 131 yards on 28 carries and a rushing touchdown to banner the Rams' ground game.

The diagnosis of a knee contusion sustained by Cooper Kupp should serve as encouraging news for the Rams. Head coach Sean McVay is looking forward to having his top wide receiver ready as they head to their NFC divisional round matchup.
