The Los Angeles Rams will be without wide receiver Cooper Kupp as they face the Arizona Cardinals for their final game of the season due to a positive COVID-19 case, per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport. He will be joining quarterback Jared Goff on the sidelines who was also recently ruled out for Week 17 due to a thumb injury.

Goff hurt his thumb midway through their Week 16 tilt against the Seattle Seahawks which diminished his production under center and was only forced to throw 234 yards on 24-of-43 passes completed along with an interception and three sacks.

Despite his struggles due to the injury, Kupp still managed to contribute 66 receiving yards on eight receptions but failed to score a touchdown for the team. Fellow pass-catcher Josh Reynolds also added 65 yards on six touches as the Rams fell to the Seahawks on a 20-9 defeat.

The Los Angeles-based squad's 9-6 record currently accounts for the sixth seed in the NFC Bracket. Snagging a win against the Cardinals in Week 17 would help them improve their position as they closely trail behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are holding a 10-5 record with the fifth seed in the NFC playoff picture.

However, getting on the field without Goff and Kupp against a desperate Cardinals squad would be tough for the Rams to pull off. Their opponents are raring for a win as they are still on the outside looking in and haven't secured a playoff seat with their 8-7 record.

With the absence of two of their top players, the Rams are certainly facing a tall task against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals for their final game of the regular season.
