Former Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick Dante Fowler Jr. was traded earlier this week to the Los Angeles Rams and he still feels like he has a lot left to prove. He thinks the trade was a blessing in disguise and there is no question he makes a good defense even better. Fowler is known as a good pass rusher but he wants to prove to everyone that he is just more than that.

“I definitely feel like I still have a lot to prove. Playing with a big chip on my shoulder, the edge,” Fowler said via The Rams Wire. “I want to show guys that I’m not just an elite pass rusher, that I’m a full-time player – first-down, second-down, can play the run, very smart. And you know I can help my defense achieve their goals and help this team achieve where they want to go.”

As it stands, Los Angeles is a 2-point road favorite against New Orleans this Sunday, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!

The good news for Fowler is that he is playing on a Rams defense that already has a ton of talent on the line and he's not going to have the pressure on him that he did in Jacksonville.  Fowler also thinks another positive is that he should get more playing time with the Rams, something that wasn't always there with the Jaguars.

“Just being out there a little bit more often. Just whenever my name is called, going out there and making plays,” Fowler said. “When it’s time for me to execute and I have an opportunity to get a sack or anything like that, I execute it and I get him down.”

Fowler will get his first chance to impress on Sunday afternoon when the Rams take on the New Orleans Saints.
