According to Los Angeles Rams linebacker Dante Fowler, the former member of the Jacksonville Jaguars was subjected to over $700,000 in fines from his former team.

The fines stemming from the Jaguars requiring players to perform offseason rehab at team facilities. Fowler confirmed that with the NFL Players Association, he has been refunded the money. The NFLPA successfully filed a grievance against the Jaguars claiming that the team violated the Collective Bargaining Agreement by trying to make offseason rehab a mandatory activity for injured players.

“They literally hated me.I got it all back though! Thanks to the NFLPA,” Fowler tweeted on Monday.

According to the NFLPA, more than a quarter of grievances filed by players over the last two years have been filed against the Jaguars.

At the close of the email the NFLPA sent to players, the organization added that “you as playersmay want to consider this when you have the chance to select your next club.”

Jacksonville selected Fowler with the third overall pick in 2015 out of the University of Florida. In 39 career games with the Jaguars, the 6-foot-3, 255-pound linebacker recorded 53 tackles and 14 sacks.

In October of 2018, the Jaguars traded Fowler to the Rams in exchange for third round pick in 2019 and a fifth rounder in 2020. The Jaguars used the third round pick they received in the trade to draft safety Quincy Williams out of Murray State who has started eight games for the Jaguars this year.

In the 22 games Fowler has played with the Rams since being traded, the former No. 3 pick has compiled 50 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks.
