The Los Angeles Rams have somehow managed to get even better despite winning the NFC and reaching the Super Bowl a season ago. Adding to the team's uber talented roster, the Rams notably selected former Memphis Tigers running back Darrell Henderson in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Now gearing up to play alongside fellow Rams running back Todd Gurley, Henderson believes that Los Angeles was the perfect landing spot for him.

“If you go back and watch my college film and you watch the Rams film, it’s the same,” Henderson recently said, via The Los Angeles Times. “I thought that was the best system I could get in. So everything worked out great. When I was talking to them, everything was clicking and we developed a relationship. The coaches told me they knew they were going to get me so it was the perfect fit.”

Despite being slated to serve as a role player, Henderson couldn't be happier to be a part of the Rams organization while appearing primed to do whatever it takes to succeed.

“I’ve always had a chip on my shoulder,” Henderson added. “I also always trusted and believed that I would end up in the perfect position and in the perfect fit and that’s what happened at Memphis.”

Of course, the Rams were upended by the heralded New England Patriots as a result of Super Bowl LIII. However, the Rams could very well get their revenge as a result of the 2019-20 campaign as Los Angeles remains one of the most dangerous teams in the entire league.
