This won't ease the minds of anyone who is concerned about Todd Gurley's knee.

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead said that he likely won't see Gurley in the preseason in order to keep him fresh:

“We’re not going to run him at all during OTAs,” Snead said on The Sedano Show. “We’re definitely not keeping score in May so we’re doing things to continue getting his knee and the quads and all the things around him in the best possible shape and as fresh as possible so when we do go to Carolina – because I doubt we see Todd in the preseason, along with a lot of our starters.”

Gurley has been in Los Angeles for organized team activities but has not participated.

The running back originally injured his knee back in Week 15 and missed the final two games of the regular season before returning in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He looked just fine in that contest, gashing the Dallas Cowboys for 115 yards and a couple of touchdowns, but he was then a non-factor in both the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl, causing many to wonder if his knee was an issue.

Gurley hasn't exactly provided Rams fans with much comfort this offseason, either, as he has been very coy about his knee, only saying that it is feeling “pretty good.”

Los Angeles has also kept pretty silent about Gurley's status.

The 24-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he racked up 1,251 yards and 17 touchdowns.
