Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey will not play in his team's season finale against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Ramsey is nursing a knee injury he suffered in his team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

The Rams acquired Ramsey in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars back in the middle of October.

In the nine games he played with Los Angeles this season, the 25-year-old logged 33 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. Through 12 contests total in 2019, Ramsey recorded 50 tackles, a pick and a couple of forced fumbles, leading to his third straight Pro Bowl appearance.

Ramsey, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by the Jaguars with the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign and was impressive, registering 65 tackles, a pair of interceptions, a forced fumble, 14 passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.

Ramsey then stamped his name among the best defensive backs in football in 2017, making the Pro Bowl and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection during a season in which Jacksonville made it to the AFC Championship Game.

He notched another Pro Bowl selection in 2018, but from that point on, his relationship with the Jags' front office soured, leading to Ramsey ultimately requesting a trade earlier this year.

The Jaguars met his request, and now, the star seems very happy in Hollywood.

The Rams are 8-7 on the year and have been eliminated from playoff contention, one year after making it all the way to the Super Bowl.
