Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff put forth one of the ugliest performances of his career in his team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, completing just 13 of his 24 passes for 78 yards.

The Rams have now lost three games in a row and appear to be spiraling out of control, but Goff thinks everything will be just fine:

“It’s a gut check. Are you who you say you are? I know this team is — I know these players are — I know these coaches are,” Goff said after the game, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “We’ve got so much faith and belief in Sean and everyone else. We’re going to get right back on track, we’re going to do it, and, again, it takes a few plays here and there. We’ve seen it, we’ve done it, we’ve watched it on film, we know what we’re doing. We just need to be consistent with it and — play-in and play-out — stay focused and don’t let the little things slide.”

It was the latest in what has been a string of pedestrian outings for Goff this season, as the 25-year-old has thrown for 1,727 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 62.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 80.8 on the year.

Goff has only had one game in 2019 where he has had more touchdown passes than interceptions, which came back in Week 2 when he threw one touchdown with no picks in a 27-9 win over the New Orleans Saints.

The newly-paid signal-caller has been up and down since the second half of last season, causing many to wonder whether or not he is truly a franchise quarterback.

Los Angeles will now head on the road to take on the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.
