After the Los Angeles Rams decided to take care of their head coach Sean McVay and Les Snead, they are taking care of one of their offensive weapons. Robert Woods is an important piece to the Rams and Los Angeles realizes that.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Los Angeles has given WR Robert Woods a raise. The Rams didn't add any new years onto Woods' current contract but rather adding more money to his existing one.

In 2019, the Rams added an additional $1 million to Woods' base salary allowing him to make $7 million now in the upcoming season. Plus, they added an additional $2 million roster bonus for Woods in 2020.

Back in 2017, Woods signed a five-year, $34 million contract with Los Angeles. At the time, people were saying the Rams overpaid for the former Buffalo Bills' wide receiver.

Now, people are saying that Woods is an absolute steal with his current price tag. It's hard to argue that when you realize how important he is to the Rams offense.

In his second season with the Rams in 2018, Woods had his best season in his career. The Rams wideout caught 86 passes for 1,219 yards and six touchdowns. All of those numbers were career-highs for Woods.

Besides the numbers that show up in the box score, Woods does a ton of little things that may not be seen in the stat sheet. Woods is one of the best blocking wide receivers in the NFL and his versatility allows Sean McVay to utilize him in different ways.

As the Rams begin training camp, Los Angeles is rewarding Robert Woods with a raise for the next two seasons. Doing things like this shows players what type of organization the Rams are trying to build.
