Before the NFL trade deadline, the Los Angeles Rams decided to trade for defensive end Dante Fowler from the Jacksonville Jaguars to help bring a stronger presence against the pass off the edge.

Through his first month with the Rams, he has already made a strong impression on the team behind him productive play on the defensive line. This is something that head coach Sean McVay has noted that Fowler is making a notable difference with his edge rushing ability, according to Lindsay Thiry of ESPN.

“You certainly feel him off the edge,” Rams coach Sean McVay said. “He's got that juice that we talk about.”

In his first four games since the trade, Fowler has racked up two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He has provided steady play and the presence that Los Angeles was hoping to get with him in the mix to help their defensive line bring more pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Fowler has shown throughout his career that he can be a major factor as a pass rusher, which will come in handy for the Rams many of the teams in the league.

Fowler has already made a notable impact since his arrival as he made a huge play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10 where he had a strip sack of quarterback Russell Wilson that led to a fumble recovery for a touchdown. It was a pivotal play in the game that gave the Rams some much-needed points in the contest. Meanwhile, he is coming off his most productive outing with the team as took the field for 86 percent of the defensive snaps while notching a sack and had three tackles for loss.

With the Rams seemingly pushing toward having potentially the best record in the NFC, his presence as a pass rusher will be huge as the team will have the task of facing some of the league's top quarterbacks. If he can continue to make a significant impact, it should go a long way in helping the Rams this season and put him in play for a lucrative contract next offseason.
