The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a highly successful 2017 season where they finished with the highest-scoring offense in the league, fueling their first playoff appearance in well over a decade. The team continued to build around their promising group of talent on that side of the ball this offseason.

However, not everyone is convinced that the Rams boast one of the very offenses ahead of the 2018 campaign, as Chris Wesseling of NFL.com ranked them eighth overall in the league.

8) Los Angeles Rams

Quarterback: B | Jared Goff, Sean Mannion, Brandon Allen

Backfield: A- | Todd Gurley, Malcolm Brown, Justin Davis, John Kelly, Sam Rogers

Receiving corps: B | Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds, Pharoh Cooper, Mike Thomas, Tyler Higbee (TE), Gerald Everett (TE)

Offensive line: B+ | Andrew Whitworth, Rodger Saffold, John Sullivan, Jamon Brown, Rob Havenstein, Joseph Noteboom, Austin Blythe, Brian Allen, Darrell Williams, Jamil Demby

It's always a difficult task to conduct these type of lists in the midst of the offseason, but the Rams are bringing back nearly the same group of offensive talent from a year ago. The only major change is the essential swapping of wide receivers in Sammy Watkins for Brandin Cooks.

Los Angeles has nearly the same group together for another year under head coach Sean McVay, which could lead to more fluidity in the offensive game plan than last season. They're expecting continued improved play from quarterback Jared Goff along with their young wide receiver group in Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Cooks stepping into a major role.

On top of that, All-Pro running back Todd Gurley has a chance to build off of his impressive 2017 campaign to make another strong case to earn the MVP award. There is plenty to be optimistic about for the Rams as they look to get back to the playoffs and push beyond the Wild Card round.
