The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly interested in drafting former Baylor wideout Denzel Mims.

Mims was scheduled to have FaceTime meetings with a number of teams in the past few days, with the Rams among the squads listed.

Mims also said the Rams were one of the teams who had made the most contact.

At 6-foot-3, 207 pounds, Mims already possessed good size at the wide receiver spot. But he also improved his draft stock at the combine by running a 4.38 40-yard dash and a 4.43 20-yard shuttle time to go along with a 38-inch vertical.

Mims was a four-year player at Baylor, where he had a pair of 1,000-yard seasons. He had a career-high 12 touchdowns in 13 games with the Bears in 2019.

The question for Los Angeles is: will they have the opportunity to draft Mims?

The Rams do not have a first-round pick. In fact, they will not be on the clock until the 52nd selection of the draft, at which point Mims could be off the board.

Though Mims is less of an attraction in comparison to the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III, he is garnering plenty of attention from teams around the NFL.

Wide receiver was an incredibly weak position in free agency, with most teams instead electing to look for talent in the draft.

The Rams have a nice group headlined by Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks, but general manager Les Snead would undoubtedly love to surround quarterback Jared Goff with more weapons on that side of the ball.
