The Los Angeles Rams are preparing to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56 on Sunday and it's safe to say they wouldn't be at this point if it wasn't for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The former Browns star has evidently found a home in LA and proven to be one of Matthew Stafford's favorite weapons.

Stafford recently spoke on the type of impact OBJ has had for the Rams and how perfectly he's fit into his role after the team lost a key wideout in Robert Woods due to injury.

Via Pro Football Talk:

“We didn’t know we were going to lose Robert like that,” Stafford said. “It was such an unfortunate event for a special player for our team, a guy who meant so much to us. But I thought Odell did a great job of stepping in. His role was different than Rob’s was, but he’s embraced that role, he’s grown in that role. What we asked him to do on the Rams, to come in and learn as much as he’s learned in half a season basically, and come out here and execute and still play at a high level. A lot of times, whether it’s receiver or any other position you step in and you're still thinking and learning. Sometimes the physical parts of the game drop off because you’re thinking. He’s done a wonderful job of being able to lock in on his role in our offense and go play fast. So nothing but love for OB. He’s done a wonderful job and really helped us out.”

Beckham Jr signed with the Rams on November 12th and at that point, Woods was set to line up alongside him. Then just a day later, he tore his ACL. Nevertheless, OBJ has made an immediate impact. In eight regular-season games, he had 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns, a far cry from his numbers with Cleveland.

In three playoff appearances for the Rams, Beckham has also impressed, racking up over 200 yards on 19 receptions. Sometimes it just takes a change of scenery to find your footing again. That's been the exact case for OBJ and now he's on the brink of winning a Super Bowl.
