The Los Angeles Rams and All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh have agreed to a one-deal worth $14 million, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Suh was reportedly considering joining the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans prior to making his decision to join the Rams. The New York Jets were also in the picture with a significant one-year offer on the table before rescinding it.

The addition of Suh gives the Rams possibly the most dominant defensive front in the league up the middle, pairing him with reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. The newly formed duo includes arguably the top players at the defensive tackle position, and both have similar aggressive playing styles that have made them high-impact players against the pass.

According to Benjamin Allbright of 104.7 FM Denver, one of the major reasons for Suh's decision to join the Rams is the presence of defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.

The 31-year-old experienced a notable drop in his production last season, but he is still considered to be a premier defensive lineman who has earned five Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro nods, and two Second-Team All-Pro selections. His pairing alongside Donald should help him become a more effective factor up the middle in what could shape up to be one of the most dominant defenses in the league.

A few Rams have already reacted to the signing, as Phillips, Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff, and All-Pro punter Johnny Hekker have expressed their excitement on social media.

Suh is the latest major offseason addition for the Rams, who also acquired a pair of Pro Bowl cornerbacks in Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters in separate trades. Meanwhile, the front office has kept aboard rising star safety Lamarcus Joyner on the franchise tag, re-signed veteran cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman on a three-year, $15 million deal, and added former Pro Bowl cornerback Sam Shields on a one-year deal.
