After going viral for his touchdown celebration on Monday Night, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had a far less enjoyable Tuesday. According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Beckham Jr. tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed on the COVID list by the Rams.

Beckham is one of a large number of players to hit the COVID/reserve list on Tuesday. His former team, the Cleveland Browns, placed eight players on the COVID list on Tuesday, and the league saw 37 individuals test positive on Monday. With the mass outbreak of coronavirus plaguing the NFL, multiple teams are running thin in terms of depth as they fear the spread of further positive tests.

The Rams announced their decision to shut down the team's facilities and enter the NFL's intensive COVID protocols on Tuesday following multiple positive tests. The team was forced to play Monday's game without several key players, including RB Darrell Henderson Jr., CB Jalen Ramsey, and TE Tyler Higbee, among others, due to positive COVID tests. Despite the absence of a few crucial starters, the Rams were able to pull off a 30-23 win in primetime. Beckham caught six passes on seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown.

Beckham's placement on the COVID-19 list puts his status for the Rams' Week 15 clash against the Seattle Seahawks in jeopardy, though the possibility for him to take the field still remains. In order for him to play, Beckham Jr. will need to return at least two negative tests prior to Sunday's kickoff.
