The Los Angeles Rams notably finished as the runner-up behind the heralded New England Patriots as a result of the 2018-19 season. However, this past season marked the official solidification of the quick yet powerful upswing by the Rams, quarterback Jared Goff and head coach Sean McVay.

With McVay already cemented as the savior in Los Angeles, Goff will need to continue to get better in order to truly bring the Rams back to the franchise's glory days. This is nothing new to Goff, though, as the up-and-coming signal caller knows that he needs to be better going forward — especially if the Rams reach another Super Bowl under his guidance.

“I wish I would have done my part better, and I can promise next time if I get that opportunity I will,” Goff said of his performance in Super Bowl LIII against the aforementioned Patriots, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. “And it’s just part of learning and part of growing and getting older and experience.”

Goff infamously finished the Sunday outing 19-of-38 for 229 yards and one interception.

“Yesterday was hard and today’s it’s been a little bit easier, and as time goes on I’m sure it will get easier but it definitely stings,” Goff added on Tuesday. “It’s hard and you can’t really ever get over it, maybe. It’ll be tough but it will definitely be something that will motivate us.”

With the Saints serving as the only team that could realistically get in the Rams way in the NFC, or so it seems at the moment, it wouldn't be surprising if Los Angeles returned to the Super Bowl in 2019-20.
