The Los Angeles Rams are headed to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in franchise history, thanks largely in part to the leg of kicking extraordinaire Greg Zuerlein. “Greg The Leg” not only helped send the Rams to overtime against the New Orleans Saints, but Zuerlein then sent the Los Angeles-based franchise to the Super Bowl by way of a 57-yard game-winning field goal.

While in most cases 57 yards would seem like the distance of the entire field, Rams quarterback Jared Goff appeared only remotely impressed. In fact, he believes that Zuerlein's game-winner from 57 yards out would have easily been good from 70 yards as well.

“Greg makes a 57-yarder that was good from about 70,” Goff told reporters after Sunday afternoon's road win over the surging Saints.

Zuerlein notably finished the memorable outing a perfect 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in addition to connecting on both of his extra-point attempts as well — all of which was capped off by the 57-yarder in overtime.

Although the Rams offense — and of course the team's gnarly defensive front — take most of the credit for the NFC West franchise's recent success, “Greg The Leg” can simply not be forgotten. Sending Sunday's game to overtime and then the Rams to the Super Bowl truly seemed effortless for the veteran placekicker, who continues to impress every single time that the team turns to him.

At this point, it can be argued that Zuerlein is the Rams' most important player while his presence will surely be felt come Super Bowl LIII.
