The Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots are not off to hot starts on the offensive side of the football — to say the least. Outside of Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, neither team has really done much offensively as New England currently leads Los Angeles by the score of 3-0 late in the first half.

Aiding such a storyline, Rams starting running back Todd Gurley has not seen the field much in the first half of Super Bowl LIII. In fact, the All-Pro rusher may have aggravated a pre-existing knee injury, which could be why Gurley hasn't dominated the first two quarters of play against the heralded Patriots.

However, according to a mid-game report from CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson, Gurley is perfectly healthy so it appears despite “favoring” his knee.

Even though Gurley strung together yet another strong season as a member of the Rams, it has been C.J. Anderson as of late. In all honesty, the Rams would not be in the Super Bowl on Sunday evening without the services of Anderson, who has carried the majority of the workload in terms of running the football this postseason.

Could it be because of the banged-up Gurley or are the Rams simply continuing to play the hot hand? Either way, it has been more of the same in Atlanta as the Rams have had absolutely no success running the football against the Patriots. Obviously, the absence of Gurley's production surely doesn't aid the ongoing situation for head coach Sean McVay.
