The Los Angeles Rams have gone from a struggling team returning to the city where it all began to a squad with a renewed purpose last season and now a potential Super Bowl title contender for the 2018 campaign. One of the main reasons for the team's resurgence heading into next season is the additions of All-Pro talent on the defensive side of the football.

Los Angeles managed to add Ndamukong Suh in NFL free agency while also landing Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib in separate trades. These moves, along with the trade for wide receiver Brandin Cooks, have put the league on notice with wideout Robert Woods praising these moves with the upgrades on defense bound to elevate the offense.

The Rams brass has made it abundantly clear that they're going all in for the 2018 NFL season. Los Angeles is hoping to take the next step with arguably the best defense in the league led by Aaron Donald and a potent offense headlined by Jared Goff and Todd Gurley.

Although these moves have improved the roster on both sides of the football, the expectations will be much higher moving forward while this team tries to live up to the pressure of playing under the bright lights of Los Angeles.

As for Woods, the USC product will have a chance to take his game to the next level after his breakout first season in Los Angeles. Woods only played 12 games in 2017, but he played well when on the field catching 56 passes for a career-high 781 yards and five touchdowns.
