The Los Angeles Rams have one of the most productive offenses in the league today, but their offensive unit is dealt with a big blow after learning that wide receiver Robert Woods will be sidelined for two weeks, per a report from Rams beat reporter Alden Gonzalez.

Woods hurt his left shoulder during Sunday’s 24-7 road loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Despite a hurting shoulder, however, Woods was able to catch eight passes out of 11 targets for 81 receiving yards.

Woods is leaving a big hole on the Los Angeles offense, as he is leading the team in receptions (47), targets (70), receiving yards (703), and receiving touchdowns (4).

While he is away, the Rams will try to cover his void by involving Josh Reynolds and Pharoh Cooper. Sammy Watkins and Connor Kupp should also see an uptick in targets. Watkins has 408 receiving yards and four touchdowns on the season, while Kupp is second to Woods in receiving yards with 481 to go with three touchdowns.

Woods timetable for return isn’t sure yet, but if we’re to follow the two-week time frame, then the former USC Trojan is likely to be back on the field for a Week 14 showdown at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Looking at the glass half full, it's better for Woods to nurse an injury now than later in the season. This is especially true when you consider Los Angeles an actual playoff team this season. Having Woods back healthy for when the games means most, is certainly more important than a couple of games now.
