Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods was a standout in his first year in Southern California, and the expectations are even higher going forward. Last year, Woods led the Rams with 86 receptions for 1,219 yards and six touchdowns, and it was just a glimpse of what he can do going forward:

“Just the start of it,” Woods said last week as the Rams concluded voluntary offseason workouts, per the LA Times, “I feel like last year was a taste of what I knew I had, what other people saw a glimpse of.”

Woods carries a cap hit of just over $7.2 million in 2019, and there is some thought that the team could redo his contract to reward him for the big season. Woods doesn't seem too bothered one way or the other regarding what the team decides to do with the contract. He just knows going forward the best thing he can do is “tear it up” and help the Rams win games:

“Just come out and tear it up,” Woods said of his plan for the upcoming season. “Be myself, play every game and really do a lot of damage and prove to be the best — and get the price to match.”

The most impressive part of last season for Woods is how well he performed, even after changing positions because of Cooper Kupp's season-ending injury.

That versatility helped the team make it all the way to the Super Bowl and is also another reason why the Rams should consider redoing his contract in order to give him a little extra money.
