Since clinching the NFC West division title, the Los Angeles Rams are coming off a pair of losses that have seen them struggle offensively in the process.

With that, star running back Todd Gurley has been forced to work through some leg injuries in the process. Head coach Sean McVay has acknowledged that Gurley has been affected by some lingering issues that have led to him to indicating that he doesn't want to risk his availability for the playoffs, according to Gary Klein of the LA Times.

Although the Rams have locked up a playoff spot, the team is still in play for both a first-round bye and the top overall spot in the conference in the postseason. This has kept them moving forward heavily using Gurley in the process as there is still much to play for over the final few games of the season.

Gurley may be impacted by the leg injury, but he has been able to continue to play in the process while remaining effective. He was limited to just 48 rushing yards on 12 attempts, but did score a pair of touchdowns along with haul in 10 catches for 76 receiving yards. Gurley's production has been key to the Rams continuing to find success this season and will be even more important in the playoffs.

At the same time, the team doesn't want to risk having him miss any playing time come playoff time. The team will follow the guidance of the medical staff in order to keep him on the field and help them make their push toward a deep playoff run.
