In the first season with the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Sean McVay played a tremendous part in helping turn the franchise around into one of the top teams in the NFL.

Much of this has come through his vast knowledge and connection to the game that has helped him become one of the brightest young offensive minds in the NFL. He recently showed off that impressive knowledge behind his photographic memory that he put on display during a recent interview with HBO's “Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel.”

The fact that McVay can remember plays with ease that are both had positive and negative outcomes from his first campaign in Los Angeles is quite spectacular. This has been a major part in helping him quick establish his fingerprints all over the franchise as his expertise as a play-caller has helped him quickly earn the trust of his players that helped them achieve a huge amount of success in the 2017 campaign that the Rams reached the playoffs for the first time in well over a decade.

What has also helped him is that he has proven to be quite a relatable coach to his players that has allowed him to connect with them on a different level. This high level of trust from the team helped them quickly buy into the game plan on both sides of the ball with the offense leading the charge as one of the most explosive units in the league with their duo of Pro Bowls quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley.

All of this has put forth a bright future ahead of the Rams with McVay at the forefront as he has seemingly put together a game plan and roster that could compete for a Super Bowl over the next couple of years.
