The Los Angeles Rams are looking to do what most teams have struggled to do: win back-to-back Super Bowls. After winning it all in 2021, the star-studded team is looking to repeat as champions. They retained most of their championship core, and are raring to go to practice… except for Jalen Ramsey, surprisingly.

The Rams announced that they have placed star cornerback Jalen Ramsey on the Physically Unable to Perform list. It was a surprising decision, one that might worry some fans of the team. However, head coach Sean McVay assured folks that this was simply a precautionary measure, and that Ramsey will be ready to go by the start of the season.

“But he's doing good. He's been attacking the rehab the right way. He's feeling good. When we did do that surgery on him, obviously most importantly was how he felt about it, but then with the goal in mind of, alright, attack the rehab the right way, and most importantly, be ready for Sept. 8, ready to go. So we'll be smart about that progress for him.”

According the Rams brass, Jalen Ramsey underwent surgery on his shoulder during the offseason. The star is now currently rehabbing his injury: hence, his placement on the PUP list. Despite that, though, McVay is optimistic that the star will be ready for pre-season, at the very least.

Ramsey is coming off another excellent season for the Rams, one that saw the cornerback earn another All-Pro nod. If LA wants to repeat as champions, they need their star corner to be his usual shutdown self again.
