The Los Angeles Rams made one of the biggest moves of the year earlier in the week before their Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

That move was trading for superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey. In his first game with the team he made a pretty big impact. That impact included containing Julio Jones (to an extent but let's be honest it's impossible to completely contain him). He also forced a fumble.

Most importantly, Ramsey helped Los Angeles dominate their way to a win. The Rams beat the Falcons 37-10 and look like that elite team from last season once again (at least for the first week of the Ramsey era).

After the game, head coach Sean McVay had some comments about the cornerback's debut with the team according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com.

“To be able to come in on such short notice, with such short practice time and to be able to play the way that he did, it was a big boost to our team for sure,” Rams coach Sean McVay said.

It's safe to say McVay was impressed with Ramsey's play. That should come as a surprise to anyone. If you've ever seen Ramsey play you know just how good he is.

What makes it more impressive is exactly what McVay says though. Ramsey came in on short notice. He didn't even have a full week to practice with the team. He's still getting accustomed to the new team, the new locker room, the new coaching staff and the new scheme.

Despite all of that, Jalen Ramsey still played like a lockdown cornerback. A cornerback that every team in the NFL wishes they had. Now he's on the Rams, and Los Angeles probably couldn't be happier about that.
