The Los Angeles Rams already have a bunch of injury woes bothering them. With one of the top receivers in Robert Woods out for the season, it was important that they didn't lose any more players to injuries. So when Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was slow to get up after a big hit, fans were understandably concerned.

After their dismantling of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Rams coach Sean McVay was asked about the status of Matthew Stafford and if he sustained an injury. (via Jourdan Rodrigue)

“Sean McVay said he was unsure what happened to Matthew Stafford on the shot he took (roughing call and left the game for one play). Mentioned it may have been a sternum issue or something but that Stafford told him, “I’m good” and will probably say the same in a few minutes.”

Sure enough, Stafford came out minutes later and told everyone that he was, indeed, fine.

A seemingly routine tackle from a Jaguars lineman turned out to be a scary situation for Rams fans. Matthew Stafford was slow to get up after that play, clutching his chest and seemingly in pain. Luckily, the quarterback and the team dodged a huge bullet, as Stafford was able to shake off the injury.

If there's any doubt about Stafford's health, his performance will likely shut that all down. Against the lowly  Jaguars, the Rams quarterback put on a clinic, completing 26 of his 38 passes for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns. The result was a relatively easy 37 – 7 win that the Rams badly needed after two losses to the 49ers and the Packers.

With Cooper Kupp and Stafford still having their ungodly connection, and Odell Beckham Jr. starting to acclimate to the team better, the Rams offense is looking deadly. Hopefully, their quarterback stays healthy enough to lead their team to the promised land.
