After seven weeks of action in the 2021 NFL season, the top fantasy football wide receiver is Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp. The Rams wideout has been a gift that keeps on giving for his fantasy owners. Per NFL.com, Kupp leads all receivers with 190.4 fantasy points on the season.

Just to further underscore how big Kupp is repaying managers who invested a high capital on him during their leagues' draft day, Dave Kluge of Fantasy Pros dropped this hilariously incredible tidbit.

If Ja'Marr Chase (the current WR3 in fantasy football) caught an ADDITIONAL one touchdown per game through every week this year… He still wouldn't have as many points as Cooper Kupp.

That's insane, given Chase's own jaw-dropping performance week after week. Heading into Week 8, Chase is behind the Rams' target vacuum in Kupp and Kansas City Chiefs' Tyreek Hill (150.4) in wide receiver fantasy points with 146.2.

To date, Kupp has 81 targets for a whopping 32.93 target share among Rams players. Second to him is Robert Woods, who has 51 targets or 20.73 target share percentage. Moreover, Kupp is third in the NFL among red-zone targets with 16, scoring nine touchdowns out of those lobs to go with a high 73.3 completion percentage. Through seven games, the 28-year-old Kupp has 809 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Barring an injury that would keep him out for a significant time, Kupp is expected to finish the 2021 season as the fantasy king among wide receivers.
